"Your off to great places. Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting so get on your way." by Dr. Seuss
On the first day of school we were all excited to start "climbing" up the mountain of life. The mountain would be full of struggles, responsibilities and exciting adventures but we were al prepared to start our climb knowing that our wonderful and intelligent teachers would be right by our side helping us through challenges. When we graduated from elementary school we finished climbing the first mountain in our life. We were all ready for the challenges that would come our way while climbing the next mountain in our life because our wonderful parents and teachers had prepared us. On the first day of middle school we started our climb. Throughout our years we made new friends and worked with new teachers. We had so struggles like a lot of homework and stressing for big tests like the U.S constitution test, the Illinois constitution test and finals but we made it. Now we all stand here together prepared for what new challenges high school will come with but we are also excited to start climbing our way through high school. Thank you to all my wonderful teachers, friends and family that have stayed with me through everything and helped me though every challenge that I have concurred.

Letter To 5th Grade Self
I remember being a 5th grader. I would always look up at the 8th graders and think wow their so cool I wish I could be a 8th grader. Now I'm wishing I could be a 5th grader again. 8th grade is nothing that I thought it would be. First off their is SOOOO much more homework. In 5th grade the only homework we got was spelling and now I do homework for over an hour every day. The home work is not that easy either. Also there are way more tests and quizzes in 8th grade. The only tests we would do is spelling each week or a math test and now in 8th grade their are finals and at least one test every week. Don't wish to be a 8th grader yet. You also have a lot more responsibilities so younger self do you still wish to be a 8th grader?

"Endings and Beginnings"
I cant believe that I am almost graduating 8th grade. I feel like just yesterday I was a kindergarten. My goals for the end of 8th grade are simple. I hope to get good graders on my report card so I can end the school year proud of myself for finishing my years at elementary school and middle school. I also hope to grow as a person and to be prepared for high school. I look forward to the summer as well. My goals for the summer are to keep finding great books to read and to enjoy not having to wake up at 7 AM everyday. I am also looking forward to spending more time with my family. I am sad to graduate yet happy for summer to come.

Its's Complicated
School is very complicated currently. We have so many projects and homework assignments. In every class we have at least one project to do and I think my brain is going to pop! In Spanish class we have a big project which is were we have to do a whole skit only speaking in Spanish. It's complicated because each group member has to talk at least two minutes and we have three members in my group including me. So ours has to be at least six minutes long! In science class we have to do a project on the human body. In social studies we have to write a two page research paper about a civil rights topic. Then in May we have finals which is just "great". School is very hard and complicated for me right currently. On the plus side we are also learning about Greek mythology which is very fun and interesting. But school is still complicated.

My favorite holiday
I love every holiday but my favorite one is Easter. Every year we go to my grandparents house after church. My grandma always cooks amazing delicious food. My favorite part is being able to hang out with my whole family especially my baby cousin! I also love seeing all the designs and different colors of the eggs that we decorated. Over all I just love being with my family. That is why Easter is my favorite holiday.

Tribute to my sister
Kristina, you are crazy, smart and energetic. You are the best sister anyone can have. Whenever I am down you always know how to cheer me up even though you are annoying at times (mostly always) but I still love you. I remember when we were little and we would always play dress up with our mothers clothes and I remember when I saw you at your first soccer practice I knew that you would be amazing at soccer(which you are!) never doubt yourself! When I was going through a rough period in life you always stood by me at made me a better person. You can always trust me with anything and I will always stand by you and support in whatever you do. So even though you are annoying most of the time you are also intelligent, kind and amazing at every thing that you do.

Magical Meeting
Three famous people that I would spend the after noon with are Blake Livley, Logan Learman and Nina Dobrev. We would meet in Starbucks. The reason I choose the Starbucks is because it is a quiet place were we could all sit and talk to each other while sipping on coffee. One thing I love about Blake Lively is her sense of style. Something I would talk about with Blake Livley is what fashion recommendations she has and if she will be staring in any new movies or shows. Something I would talk about with Logan Learman is that the Lightning Thief is my favorite movie and he plays the role of Percy Jackson perfectly. Lastly I would talk to Nina Dobrev about what were her favorite scenes to film in vampire diaries are and if she like Stefan or Damon Salvatore more. There is a one in a million chance that I would meet someone famous but if I got to pick it would be these three famous people.

My Favorite Field Trip
I love going on field trips. They always lead to great adventures with your class mates. My all time favorite field trip is when we went to Springfield Illinois in 7th grade. I remember that day like it was yesterday. All the students that were taking that trip had to be in the school around 5 am. When we got to school we loaded onto the buses and took our seats. Some students had brought movies so we put in the movie and started to watch it. It was so cool watching the sun come up early in the morning. After driving for about 6 hours we finally stopped at a museum. In the museum you could go into a house that was a replica of the White house and inside they had wax figures of Abraham Lincolns family and scenes of them in different rooms. My favorite part about the museum is when you walked in they had posters and facts about Abraham Lincoln and his family. After the we got back on the bus and drove to Abraham Lincolns real house from when he lived in Illinois. There were so many artifacts like the stair well and the carpet. My favorite part about his house was seeing Abraham Lincolns bedroom because they still have the bed that he slept in . After that we went to the Springfield town hall. The main part I remember is that you had to climb a LOT of stairs. Lastly we visited Abraham Lincolns grave and he had some of his family members tomb stones around him. This is my favorite trip because I love learning about history and Abraham Lincoln was a big part of it!

The LightningThief movie review
The Lightning Thief is a must watch movie. It shows details from the book into the movie miraculously. Some examples are in the book when Percy reaches camp half blood, he is able to go through the barrier but his mother is not. Then the monster that was chasing them into camp half blood but takes his mother to the underground which also happens in the movie. Another example is when Percy, Annabeth and Grover were chosen to go on a quest. My last example is when Percy, Annabeth and Grover had to go to the underworld to save Percy's mother. I would give this movie 5 stars.

Major three goals if I was president
The three goals I would have if I was president are basic human rights, more jobs and making sure that everybody gets the opportunity to go to school. First I say basic human rights because with everything going on in the news now with president trump and all the riots I wouldn't want that and everybody deserves to be equal. Next I would say having more jobs. I say this because I would want to make it easy for everybody to get a job so no one would have to live in the streets. And lastly I would make sure there is an opportunity for everyone to go to school because when they are older they have a better chance of getting a good job and everybody should have the right to got to school. That would be my major three goals if I was president.

Gifts
A gift that I would like to receive is a marble wildflower phone case. I would want a new case because my phone case is very plain and I would like to change it up. I really wanted the marble one which is basically just a slab or marble! There are these streaks of grey in it that just makes it so pretty! But instead I got a pink mable one That is a gift that I would like to receive.

All about my name!
As you all know my name is Nikoleta. I was named after saint nick. I was named after saint nick because in my religion I was born on the day that we celebrate him so my parents decided to give me a name after him. My name in Greek stands for victory or winner of the people. That is a little bit of information on my name.
Career in D67
The career I would have in district 67 is a 1st grade teacher. This would be my career in district 67 because I love little kids and I have a lot of patience with little kids. Little kids are very funny because most of the time they don't really know what they are saying. I have a lot of patience because I am the oldest sibling plus I have a seven year old brother. Those are some reasons for why I would be a 1st grade teacher in district 67.
